Museo del Giocattolo povero
The “Museo del giocattolo povero” (Museum of poor toys) stems from the will of the teachers of Masicelle’s primary school (fraction of Montano Antilia), who have been able to combine teaching with the surrounding area and with local traditions. Through the interaction between the new and older generations, in fact, it was possible to recover the ancient toys that represent a real wealth of knowledge of last century’s traditions and society. The display cabinets contain toys faithfully reconstructed by local artisans thanks to the activation of a historical-anthropological research that involved the grandfathers and grandmothers of children, as witnesses to history. The Museum is part of the museum network of the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano.
