La Halle circulaire
Built between 1836 and 1837, this building is significant for its shape and its architecture. Set down on the ancient moats of the fortified city, it hosted the Town Hall, the court of District and the Justice of the Peace. The lower floor is made of clay mortar and straw and the two upper floors are made of bricks and wood. The rotunda is surrounded by the open gallery which is supported by 20 wooden columns. It was once used as a shelter for the merchants' stalls.
