Il Castello-Palazzo
During the twelfth century, also in Prata Principato Ultra troops led by the Norman Ruggiero II stormed and destroyed the city center, a fortified manor. The castle was rebuilt under the Suevi by de Avenalia family and also used as a prison by the Emperor Federico II. The building was completely rebuilt during the Renaissance and turned into a typical residential building in the seventeenth century. The imposing building, has a quadrilateral plan with vaulted arches and simple balconies with molded sills
